This is a longer variant of the basic mail coif. It covers the top and back of the skull, as well as draping down the back and sides of the neck to provide extra protection. It extends to the base of the neck, around the collar.

A full hood style coif. The full coif provides near complete protection of the head and neck region, covering the top of the head and extending down to the base of the neck and collar bone. This coif is different from the others though, in that it is closed in the front, up to about chin level, providing protection to the front of the neck instead of just the sides and back.
